Air Hostess

The Certificate and Diploma air hostess courses fee ranges around INR 80,000 and the duration is 6 months to 1 year. The undergraduate and postgraduate air hostess courses fee can be as high as INR 1,50,000 - 3,00,000 depending on the institute and course. Cabin crew is a popular course which comprises of air hostess (female) and/or flight steward (male). The aspirants can apply for the admission after the completion of 12th examination or Diploma. The Cabin Crew training will provide you hands-on experience as well as theoretical knowledge about the air hostess/flight steward profession; basically, the work of cabin crew is to provide comfort, welfare, and safety to the passengers.

Procedure to join Airlines as a cabin crew member: If you fit the physical criteria of the airline (height above 155 cm for girls and 170 cm for boys), have no visible tattoos or piercings, have normal eyesight, and have no marks or scars on your hands or face, and have passed your 12th-grade exams, you are eligible. If you are 18 years old and older, you can get through an airline based in India, but you have to be 21 years old before an airline based abroad hires you. So, step 1 is to clear your 12th standard. If you can talk well and express yourself with ease in a polite manner, you can certainly become a member of the cabin crew. You do not need to know service training, knowledge of the aircraft, safety training, first aid training, dangerous goods or aviation security training, any drills, fire fighting, make-up, hairstyling, housekeeping, ticketing, reservations, alcohol, knowledge of drinks, how to serve food and drinks, etc. Until and unless you have cleared the airline interview. The airline will train you at whatever level is needed after they select you!
If you are weak in communication, all you need is someone to help you with that for a few months, and you are good to go for an interview. Awareness about the industry is very important not what they are looking for to give you a job. What airlines care about is
your attitude toward learning, your enthusiasm about the job, and your cheerful disposition and personality. If you are the kind who whines, complains, sulks, or feels miserable when asked to do something, then this is not the job for you. If you are the polite, pleasant, happy-go-lucky kind with a flair for doing things for others, cabin crew is the right garb to wear!
After clearing interviews, airlines train you and give you a cabin crew course. You can only become cabin crew when you clear all rounds of the airline interview.
