Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) in India is a person specifically licensed or authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, to certify the airworthiness (fit to fly) of an aircraft and its systems. All civil aircraft are required to be certified airworthy before each flight by a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Eligibility: - The applicant must have passed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board or university or its equivalent. He should be physically fit.

Candidates seeking admission for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course should visit Star Aviation Academy along with following documents
1.Date of birth certificate or matric certificate which has Date of Birth (Original with two self attested copies).
2. Mark sheet of 10 +2 (Non-Medical or PCM) (Original should be submitted when received for confirmation of admission).
3. Migration Certificate ( Original). It can be deposited later when received.
4. Character certificate.
5. Passport size colour photographs.Admission fee( INR 30,000/-) and first semester fee(INR 75,000). Fee may be paid in form of DD drawn in favor of Star Aviation Academy payable at New Delhi or in cash.
6. Medical certificate from M.B.B.S. Doctor for physical fitness and color vision. In case medical certificate is not submitted admission will be provisional till medical certificate is submitted. Medical certificate form can be downloaded from this website.
7. Self attested copy of AADHAAR card.

It is very nice to know that you have decided to join aircraft maintenance engineering after 3 years of Diploma rather than doing graduation in normal engineering course. These days aircraft maintenance engineers have huge potential for employment. This is so since the passenger traffic as well as the cargo traffic in India is increasing at the rate of about 15% for many years now and is expected to continue this growth. Now to come to your queries of which college with financially less outgo, let me state that majority of colleges have almost similar fees and with nothing much to choose between different colleges from the perspectives of fees. Hence it would be a very good idea to join the course if it is available in the city where you reside or in a place nearby. Best wishes to you.
