Just for your information. As per report of HRD ministry, almost 50% fresh engineering graduate could not be placed. The situation is not expected to change much after four years. Hence I would like to advise you to do AME course since job is assured.

The course is conducted in collaboration with Western India Institute of Aeronautics (WIIA) Pvt. Ltd. The students have an option to pursue an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) certification course with WIIA concurrently. Serviceable aircraft such as Boeing 737-200, Learjet-24 and Zenith CH-2000 are available in the campus for on job training.

It depends on your own interest. The scope of aeronautical engineering is not well in India but Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) has good scope in Indian as well as foreign airlines. The work of aeronautical engineer is to design, research and development of an aircraft and we also know that India only purchase aircraft from other countries. So, in India there is no more need of aeronautical engineers but you want to make your career in foreign airlines then it is the best job in aviation sector.

The government has now approved AME as a graduation degree course apart from the license issued by DGCA. So you can enrol for B.Sc. AME and after completion of the same you will get a B.Sc. Degree + AME License from DGCA. In this way, you will also become a graduate and get a license.
