Candidates who clear the APSET exam become eligible to apply for the recruitment of Assistant Professors or Lecturers in the colleges and universities of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh SET exam only determines the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professors or Lecturers.

The APSET 2025 exam will be held soon. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam carries out the APSET exam in eight regional centres across the state. The Andhra Pradesh SET exam is conducted for 30 subjects. The APSET Paper 1 is common for all and for Paper 2, candidates need to choose a subject from the list of 30 subjects. The APSET Paper 1 is of 100 marks and Paper 2 is of 200 marks.
