Sathyabhama Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) is formally known as Sathyabhama University and it was established in 1987. More than 16000 students have studied till date from Sathyabhama Institute with more than 750+ faculty member. SIST campus is spread over more than 300 acers with world class facilities for the student all round development.
For admission in SIST college, students have to score at least 40% marks in NATA exam with at least 50% marks in class 12th and 10th.

BMS College of Engineering is an autonomous engineering college in Basavangudi, Bangalore. BMS College of Engineering established the Department of Architecture in the year 1980.
The Department of Architecture of BMS offers programs in B.Arch, M.Arch (Habitat Design) and doctoral programme under VTU, Belgaum.
The annual intake for B.Arch is 120. It has good infrastructure and well-experienced faculty members.
MIT ADT (Arts, Design and Technology) is located in Pune. It offers a B.Arch programme of 5-year duration which is approved by the COA (Council of architecture). This is also a good choice for architecture when compared to most of the colleges for architecture in India. This college offers good education with great infrastructure and faculty members.
Both of these offer good education and opportunities to the students of architecture.
But when comparing both of these, I prefer BMS College of Engineering. They are almost equal to each other, but considering all aspects and including student reviews, my choice is BMS College of Engineering.

A historic buildings inspector or conservation officer, will advise on and promote the conservation of historic buildings, structures and areas of special historic, architectural, or artistic interest. They will work in the areas of long-term care, preservation and enhancement and may also be involved in regeneration projects that have community, economic and environmental benefits. Working hours vary according to the role and sector of work.
There is no specific academic requirement but a degree in archaeology or history, architectural history, architecture, building conservation, building or construction, civil/structural engineering, etc., can be essential. Although not required, a postgraduate qualification can be highly advantageous in what is a quite specialist and competitive field.
Salary:
A building inspector on an average earns a salary of 3-3.5 Lacs per annum. This can vary based on the reputation of the company also.
Salaries vary considerably according to the location, sector and size of the employing organisation.

Admission to Nits, Iits and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
As per the new amends, class XII marks will not be a factor for determining rankings in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admissions to engineering undergraduate courses from 2017. However, the eligibility criteria still hold.
JEE Main Rank List is prepared with the scores of JEE Main. The scores are arranged in merit and the rank is awarded on this basis only.
What happens in case of a tie? In case of a tie, I.e. when two or more candidates obtain equal marks, inter merit of such candidates shall be decided as per the following order:
Rank list for admission to B.Arch. / B. Planning (in institutions other than Iits)
1. Resolution by marks obtained in Aptitude Test in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) 2017. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
2. Resolution of marks obtained in Drawing Test in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) 2017. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
3. Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having a higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
4 If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank
How is the final AIR determined? By arranging the scores in Merit order, the All India JEE Mains ranks are determined for JEE Mains candidates!

B.Arch is a course for students who want to make their career in the architecture field. In B.Arch, students have to design, create as main part of this course is drawing so which is not possible for every student, so B.Arch is quite tough as compared B.Tech. B.Arch is only for those students who have good physical stamina, patience, responsibility, creative thinking and drawing skills. In the 5-year course, students mainly have to focus on design, sketching perfectly and getting ready to make a huge surprising architect. B.Arch students have to think about the design which is different from all other designs and the design must look decent that's why creativity is at the top in B.Arch course for becoming successful in this field. B.Arch graduate mainly works in the field of design supervision and implementing these design. Architecture is one of the most sought jobs nowadays.

The aspirants who completed their B.Arch from a recognised college with at least 55% marks and want to continue their study can go for M.Arch (Masters in Architecture). M.Arch course gives us a detailed study of technical architecture and it increases the job opportunities. Mainly, students who want to become a teacher or professor can do M.Arch course as this course is a detailed study about one subject. One can work in the sectors like construction, urban planning, urban development corporations, public works departments, interior designing, etc.
Government organizations offering jobs to the B.Arch candidates are Archaeological Department, National Building organisation, Ministry of Defense, Departments of Railways, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Public Works Department, etc. The average starting salary for M.Arch is Rs 6 LPA.

Faculty
The faculty members are a nice blend of old and young professors and the interesting part is that a lot of visiting faculty members are invited at regular times to take the lectures, in their area of expertise. The head-of-departments are the permanent faculty members, and needless to mention about their experience. Also, they are good teachers and can explain concepts well. Some of the faculty members have been the student of J.J. College itself, and are very flexible with handling things.
Infrastructure
The infrastructure falls nothing short of whatever is required. The Laboratories, computer facilities, library are all well-equipped and up-to-date. Campus being the best part of the college comprises 2 buildings for the various departments and workshops. Talking about the classes and the studios where most of the academic learning takes place, are also good, and you do not need to ask for more. The things not functional are replaced frequently, so no issues about the maintenance of infrastructure. The library at Sir J.J. College of Architecture is very rich with some volumes dating back to the time the school was established, i.e. around a century ago.
Placements
At J.J. everybody gets a placement, so that's never going to bother you, but not without proving your mettle. 20-25 architecture firms come to the campus every year. Students also get good 5th-year internships at these firms, and then a 6-month thesis follows. The purpose of the internship is to get the thorough practical knowledge before you actually become an architect.

School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi offers admissions to the student on the basis of entrance exam followed by personal interview. This is an admission interview that's why the questions asked in the interview are not so hard, it's just for checking the communication skills.
Here are few interesting questions:
1. We are finished with the interview and after that, you find 10 million$ lottery, what would you do?
2. What were you like in your high school?
3. The funniest thing happened to you recently.
4. What do you want to do when you grow up?
5. What do you do in your free time?
6. Estimate how many buildings are there your city?
7. If you wake up and have 2,000 unread emails and you can only answer 300 of them, how would you choose which ones to answer?
In admission interview, questions are asked in an easy way to check the creativity and the other side of student apart from the academic side.

College of Engineering, Trivandrum and Rajasthan Technical University are the best colleges for some course, but if anyone has to choose among both for M.Arch then College of Engineering, Trivandrum is the best option. CET is the 1st engineering college in Kerala Est. in 1939 and the college has been ranked 28 among top 100 best engineering colleges in India. This college offers higher education to more than 4500+ student with more than 350 academic staffs. For admission in UG B.Arch programme student have to appear in KEAM exam. College offers B.Arch, M.Arch Urban Design, M.Planning housing to eligible student.
Campus of CET is spread over 125 acres of land and full of all the facilities needed by the student during their study time. The campus is one of the most spacious campuses in the country. The college has many laboratories for practise and training purpose. Overall, CET Kerala is the best option as compared to RTU Rajasthan.
