Hello Deepak, Yes for getting admission in IIT for architecture, this exam is a must. But if you have passed JEE Advanced this exam you will surely pass. Do not worry.

Architecture seems to be the growing domain, though both these degrees fall in the same umbrella term which is design. Architecture is also a design domain course or degree and is offered by School of Designs. Architecture I support if you have an aim of getting into the business or profile of an architect.
