Placements in Assam Agricultural University is not guranteed but yes placement opportunities are great. Companies like Amul, Fereral bank and union bank has visited the university for placements. As per NIRF 2024, around 200 students from UG and PG courses with an average salary of 68,000 inr in various jobs

Admission in the post graduate programmes (both Masters and PhD) at Assam Agricultural University is based on the merit drawn from all the enterance exams in agriculture (AIEEA) conducted by the ICAR and the number of vacant seats. the admission process is as follows:
- register yourself in the asmission portal (aau.ac.in/admission)
- fill out the admission form
- fill the necessary fields and upload mandatory documents (eg: aadhar card, passport sized picture, 10th marksheets etc.)
