Lateral entry means, you have already completed your Diploma. Instead of four years, you will get a engineering degree in just three years. You will get admission directly in second year. That's it.

You must have the knowledge of thermodynamics and electrostatics. You should have good maths skills. Interest in solving mathematical equations on your own. You should be hard working and deterministic. You should have loads of interest to develop new things. Have patience to read a lot because mechanical engineering requires lots of knowledge.

Hello Jayesh, It's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in lateral admission directly into the second year of engineering for doing your graduation in automobile engineering. Every state has its own rules about these admissions. Some States give admission based on the marks obtained in your Diploma examination while others conduct an entrance examination for the same.
