Automobile Engineering

The jobs of Automobile Engineer and Automobile Designer are more or less related profiles. Automobile engineer applies principles of engineering in overall design, maintenance, and operation of automobiles. They are responsible for modification and maintenance of the equipment and engines that design a vehicle. They often do research in the areas of designing, development meant, and manufacturing. Hence, you can say that automobile designing acts as a sub area under automobile engineering. They often involve in designing of interior structures and external appearance of automobiles. The educational qualifications for both the jobs are same. Bachelors degree is sufficient to get into the post of both the jobs. Graduation in automobile engineering is necessary for automobile engineers and even those with graduation in production or mechanical engineering, are considered for the same position. After finishing the course, one can find enough opportunities in firms that operate in automobile manufacturing. Automobile Designing and Opportunities
After qualification in automobile engineering, one has to enhance their skills in structural designing to get into the profile of a designer. They should be skillful in using software tools used for design purposes. These professionals could find job openings in similar employment areas like that of an automobile engineer. However, the job profile will be different between the two. Key differences between Automobile Engineer and Automobile Designer
1. Automobile engineers do overall research, designing, and development of automobiles. They wholly concentrate only on the designing aspects of automobile and are known as Automobile Designer
2. The job profile of an Automobile Engineer is much general whereas that of Automobile Designer is quite specific.
3. Automobile Designer must possess enough skills in employing software design tools where such skills are not essential for the job profile of an Automobile Engineer.

The B.E. admission in this college are done through the Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra by using Common Admission Process (CAP). For getting admission in this college you have to appear in MHT-CET(Common entrance test). The eligibility criteria for MHT-CET is as under.
ELigibility :- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
