Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET) is a private engineering college. In this College 70% of the seats are filled through T Andhra Pradesh EAMCET entrance exam and subsequent counselling.

The rest 30% seats filled through the Management Quota based on the merit, which may include 10+2 marks or entrance exam score.

Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology's cutoff marks are different for each course and year. In 2024, the closing rank for B.Tech in different streams varied between around 25,560 and 96,903 based on the respective engineering discipline. The cutoff rank for the general category for MBA admission was around 26,819. Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology has two different campuses, one in Hyderabad and the other one in Visakhapatnam. The hostel fees vary as per campus. 

• For the Hyderabad campus, the annual fees for hostel ranges between INR 16000 to  INR 22000 which does not include the charges for mess food. 
• For the campus in Vishakhapatnam, the hostel fees for the entire year is INR 50000.

It is a private institution, Avanthi Institute of Engineering & Technology. It was established in 2005 and is funded by the Avanthi Educational Society, which was led by Sri M. Srinivasa Rao when it was established in 1991.
