There is always scope for improvement, if your goal is to do MBBS then never settle for something else. One extra year of hard work is nothing in comparison to a lifetime of knowing you made the right choice. Furthermore, as you have cleared the cut off, if financially permissible, you can have a look at private colleges as well. B.A.M.S is also a wonderful option but it's something to be taken only if desired and not as a necessity.

BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine and surgery is a course in which ancient alongwith some modern medicine is being taught.
To get admission for BAMS in Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, try to score above 530+ marks. IMS BHU is one of the top medical college in India for BAMS so the competition level is also high as per the cutoffs.A BAMS doctor treats the patients with ayurvedic medical therapy and ayurvedic medication, whereas the BHMS doctors practice homoeopathic therapy for their patients. Both are recognised as doctors in their own medical.

As per recent records, candidates in the General/Unreserved category must score a minimum of 113. While ST/SC/OBC and disabled quota, the B.A. MS cutoff scores are expected to be 86, respectively.

So the cutoffs for BAMS at D.M.M Ayurved Mahavidyalaya,Yavatmal were as:
For UR candidates: 50-55% AND
For ST/SC/OBC Candidates the cutoffs were 40-45%.
