No, that's not true. It's a vast programme that'll teach you many aspects of the English language, like literature, linguistics, genres, creative writing, communications, literary theory, etc. A BA English Hons will prepare you for unlimited career opportunities in fields like Media, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Teaching, and so on.

No, applicants are not allowed to get direct admission to the BA course at the Central University of Tamil Nadu. For admission, applicants are required to complete their Class 12 with a decent score and must hold valid scores in CUET UG. Additionally, on the official sources available, the university does not mention any provision for direct admission explicitly.

Central University of Tamil Nadu offers a BA (Hons) course for the duration of three or four years. Additionally, the university also offers an integrated BA+MA course for the duration of five years. All these BA courses are offered only in one specialisation, i.e., economics. The eligibility requirements and admission process in any of the offered BA courses are the same.
