It is good to see your interest towards the higher education. MBA and M.Com both are the good master degree courses. The scope and opportunities of both course are good in their own sectors.

All the students applying for gdpi, have to go through the process of gd and pi. And then the weightage is given to all the rounds plus your score in cmat; based on this a list will come. So if you apply, you will be called for the gdpi rounds.

Yes, IGNOU degree is fully recognized even for government jobs.
As far as preference is concerned, it depends on the selection criteria set for the education or job that you wish to pursue. If you have a chance to do regular degree, do that, else IGNOU is the second best option.

The difference between BBA and B.Com is that BBA is completely a Business focused degree which will include subjects like Management principles, Business Economics, Business Mathematics, Database Management, Operations research etc. whereas B.Com would focus more on subjects like Corporate Accounting, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting etc.
However, there are lots of similar subjects covered in both the degree programmes as the base from where the degrees have been generated is the same i.e Commerce.
