The time involved in the BDes admission process cannot be said with any certainty because each college follows its own admission guidelines but usually it takes around 4 to 6 months for students to grab a seat at their desired college. This is because the admission procedure includes college applications, entrance exams, portfolio submission (if applicable) and a PI round/studio test that takes a good amount of time.

It might be possible to apply for Saintgits Design School BDes courses offline if the candidate is applying through the SDAT entrance exam. However, if the candidate is applying through a different entrance exam, they cannot apply for Saintgits Design School offline as registrations for such entrance exams is only acceptable in the manner prescribed in the announcement circular.

No, Group Discussion or Personal Interview rounds are not mandatory in the BDes admission process of every college. There are more than 450 B Des colleges in India and the admission process of almost every college differs depending on their set criteria.
However, if you're seeking admission to the top BDes colleges such as NIDs, NIFTs, or IITs, you may need to prepare for these rounds as they generally conduct them to assess and select candidates for the BDes program.
