Placements for BE CSE in Information Security at Chandigarh University are quite mixed but still provide good scope. Some of the highest salaries go really high, like 1.7 crore internationally and more than 50 LPA in India from companies like Paloalto Networks, Charter Global, and Google. On the other hand, average packages are around 8 to 9 LPA, while several students also get 3.5 to 5 LPA through companies such as Wipro, IBM, and Capgemini. Global recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, and Accenture visit along with Indian IT giants like HCL, Tech Mahindra and Bosch. It is not the case that everyone gets high packages, but students with consistent skills and hard work have landed really great offers. The variety of recruiters reflects a balanced placement scene, starting from mass recruiters to premium product-based companies. CU had 9,124 in the engineering placement drives (batch 2023-24) and other programs.


In 2024-25, the engineering companies that took part in the placement season are more than 240.

Mechanical is lower than CSE / ECE in terms of average median / average package. As an example in 2023, constitutional data indicates:

Mechanical Engineering students are recruited into core / manufacturing companies and big companies in the related disciplines. A few of the companies quoted: Ashok Leyland, Yamaha Motors, Alstom Transport etc.


The positions are apparently mostly in design, manufacturing, R&D support, quality, etc., core engineering positions can be found, particularly with good project / academic credentials.


Facilities & Support

CU purports to have contemporary laboratories, fine facilities, and equipment such as CNC, simulator software, etc. in the hands of Mechanical undergraduates. These assist students to be industry-enabled.
