Yes, students can get direct/ lateral admission in second year of B.E. To apply, students have to meet the basic eligibility. The requirements are as below:
- Diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved category) from recognised institution/ board
- OR BSc degree with Mathematics as a subject in Class 12 with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved category) from recognised institution/ board

ASM Nextgen Technical Campus offers selective number of seats for its B.E courses. Students need to clear the admission steps to get a seat at the institute. The B.E intake at the institute is as below:

There are a number of good universities for B.E. programme. Madras Institute of Technology is one of them. It is a private university in Chennai. It is approved by AICTE & with 'A' Grade by NAAC. B.E. is the most popular programme in the institute.

Madras Institute of Technology, established in the year 1949 is a private institution located in Chennai. It has received AICTE recognition and has been accredited by the NBA and NAAC. MIT has over 9 departments that offer over 10 courses at the UG, PG, and doctoral levels. B.E. is one of the flagship courses of MIT. Terna engineering College at Osmanabad, now called as Dharashiv, was established in the year 1983. It was established by Terna public charitable trust. This college is affiliated to doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar technological University located at Lonere in Raigad district of Maharashtra. This is a statutory State technical University to which all the engineering colleges in Maharashtra are affiliated.

The cutoffs of Army Institute of Technology for the year 2026 are not out yet & will be updated once released by the college. For B.E. programmes the cutoff is released on the basis of the JEE (Main) score. Every year there are changes in cutoffs based on the level of competition, category and the number of seats available
