The eligibility conditions for Pharma D as per PCI Regulations are:
Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy Part-I course -A pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
(1) Intermediate examination in Science;
(2) The first year of the three year degree course in Science,
(3) 10+2 examination (academic stream) in Science;
(4) Pre-degree examination;
(5) Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination. Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt. /State Govts./Union Territory Admins. As the case may be from time to time.
Some Institutes also conduct Entrance Test for admission.

The Pharmacovigilance is the science of collecting, monitoring, researching, assessing and evaluating information from healthcare providers and patients on the adverse effects of medications, biological, herbalism and traditional medicines with a view to:
1. Identifying new information about hazards associated with medicines
2. Preventing harm to the patients.
In order to pursue a career in pharmacovigilance, the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the course is:
A postgraduate or graduate degree in Bioscience/Life Sciences (with any of the following subjects: Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotech) with at least 50% marks in aggregate
A postgraduate or graduate degree with Chemistry as a subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate
A postgraduate or graduate degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
A postgraduate or graduate degree in Medicine
The selection process is based on merit. Admission is granted only to students who have cleared a written examination and a personal interview.
The ICRI (Indian Institute of Clinical Research - India) and Catalyst Clinical Services are two of the good institutes to pursue a Pharmacovigilance course from.
