B.Sc Biotechnology

Biotechnology programme is a three-year undergraduate course that aims to create excellent students with a skill set benefiting the society in the field of biotechnology. The programme covers various aspects of biochemistry, molecular Biology microbiology, cell culture, genetics, immunology, bioinformatics, plant and animal biotechnology, and more. The programme also involves practical sessions, projects, seminars, workshops, and social extension work to develop the students technical skills, research aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and social awareness. The programme has some specific outcomes such as strengthening the concepts of basic sciences, generating and analyzing biological data, sensitizing the students to the needs of society and ethical concerns of biotechnology industry, and developing employability and entrepreneurial skills. The candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations with Biology Physics and Chemistry from any board recognised in India. Candidates who have passed the Gujarat Board HSC Examination are eligible for admission to the College. The candidates should have an average of a minimum score of 50% in their 10+2 examinations.
