B.Sc. Eligibility

CEG admits students to its BSc courses based on marks obtained on Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12) from recognised boards. Recognised boards include CBSE, ICSE, West Bengal and any other board subject to verification of the HSC certificate. Thus any candidate who has passed Class 12 and has obtained relevant HSC certificate is eligible to apply for BSc courses at CEG.

Note: College of Engineering Guindy is affiliated with Anna university. The above mentioned eligibility guidelines are as per the site of the aforementioned university. Students are advised to check the eligibility guidelines while filling the application form.

The selection criteria for the Annamal Institute of Hotel Management BSc course is merit-based. The institute offers a BSc in Catering and Hotel Administration and a diploma in International Airline & Travel Management. However, BSC CHA is a three-year course and the diploma in IATM is one year. Apart from this, candidates also have to complete Class 12 to get admission to the BSc course.

For admission to the BSc programme at Annamal Institute of Hotel Management, the candidate must have passed class 12. AIHM inducts candidates for the BSc programme based on their marks in class 12. Selected candidates are required to report to the admission cell at Annamal Institute of Hotel Management for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 in Science stream to apply for BSc programmes at William Carey University. Aspirants must hold documents such as marksheets and certificates proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. The selection for BSc course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

Candidates seeking admission to the post basic BSc Nursing course must have passed the Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary/ Intermediate/ Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board and General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as RNRM with the State Nurses Registration Council. 

Candidates seeking admission to BSc allied health sciences programme must meet the MGMIHS BSc eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 examination in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or have passed the equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination can get admission to the MGMIHS BSc course. 

The institute also offers admission through the Lateral Entry mode for which candidates must have an undergraduate degree  Allied Health Sciences wherever corresponding Diploma courses are available in the concerned specialty. 

Candidates who have passed Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) can apply for Alliance School of Economics BSc (Hons) programme. Aspirants must hold documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. 

Admission to BSc at Kalyani University  (both Hons and general programme) are based on merit in Class 12. However, there are course-specific criteria every candidate must fulfil accordingly. Tabulated below are the details of Kalyani University BSc eligibility criteria:

In order to be eligible to apply for BSc at IIT Roorkee, candidate must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75%. Moreover, interested students must qualify JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced exam. Admissions to IIT Roorkee BSc courses will be made based on merit in JEE Main+ JEE advanced and seat availability intake of IIT Roorkee.
