B.Sc. FAD is a 3- or 4-year undergraduate degree in Fashion & Apparel Design, open to students from any stream (minimum ~35–50% in 10+2). The curriculum covers textile science, garment construction, pattern making, CAD, merchandising, styling, and industry internships. It prepares graduates for careers in design, retail, styling, and fashion entrepreneurship .

The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) as an intake capacity of 150 seats for the B.Des in Fashion Design program. Both Mohali and Ludhinana has 60 seats each, while Jalandhar has 30 seats.
