Got a Diploma in Hotel Management and eyeing that B.Sc. upgrade at Shevaroys? Here's the deal: most colleges love a good 10+2, but a legit Diploma might land you a lateral entry; if it's recognized. The course is your usual 3-year gig, covering everything from hospitality to kitchen chaos. Best move? Call or email the admissions team. Don't assume; you don't wanna get all dressed up with nowhere to enroll.

In the case of IHM Bangalore and its mention that NRI students can apply directly to the institute, it means that NRI candidates are not required to appear for the NCHM JEE (National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination). Instead, they can apply directly to the institute through a separate admission process set by the institution.

However, NRI students still need to meet the eligibility criteria and provide necessary documentation (like proof of NRI status and academic qualifications) to secure admission.

Yes, having a BSc in Hotel Management doesn't necessarily restrict someone from pursuing studies in Food and Nutrition courses. In fact, the skills and knowledge gained in hotel management, especially in areas like food preparation, hygiene, and Culinary Arts, can complement studies in Food and Nutrition quite well.

Many institutions offering Food and Nutrition courses might consider candidates from diverse educational backgrounds, including hotel management, provided certain prerequisites or additional courses are completed to fulfill their admission criteria.

The course curriculum of both, the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) as well as BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is almost similar. After completing a BHM course, one can join the hotel and tourism industry. However, after completing a BSc in Hotel Management course, candidates can also join the airline industry.

The BSc in Hotel Management offers a general overview of the industry rather than concentrating on specialised subjects. It is more technical and has an impact on the fundamentals of hotel management. BHM focuses primarily on the management processes and activities involved in hotel management.
