Eligibility : 10th + 12th (HSC) equivalent or PUC or TNOU BPP or 10th + 3 years diploma or 11th + 2year TTC or 10th + 2years ITI.

The paper is a standard one. It has questions on cell biology, molecular biology, physiology, biostatistics, application based questions on molecular biology and biophysical techniques and some questions on zoology and botany. Do your B.Sc. Syllabus properly and you can follow pathfinder life sciences book for CSIR NET and JAM. Maximum number of questions come from molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry and physiology, so if you are thorough with these, I think you can crack the exam. You can not apply for M.Sc. In Physics after completing B.Sc. In Chemistry. You can apply for following courses after completing B.Sc. In Chemistry :-
1 M.Sc. In Organic Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Biochemistry / Inorganic Chemistry / Physical Chemistry etc.
2) MBA in HR / Financial Management etc.
3) M.Sc. In Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics
4) M.Sc. In Food Science and Nutrition
5) M.Sc. In Clinical Research
6) MBA in Pharmaceutical Management
7) B.Ed.
