Both are different as BCA (Bachelors of Computer Application ) is mainly targeted for programming applications and have no other branches as far I know but B.Sc. (Bachelors of Science) have many branches like B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. CS B.Sc. IT, B.Sc. Bio, B.Sc. Math etc. You can choose B.Sc. IT or B.Sc. CS if you want to do B.Sc. Instead of BCA and want to be in computational field and learn IT/Computer Science. There is difference in both BCA and B.Sc. IT/CS syllabus. If you want to be a purely programmer you can do BCA + MCA or B.Tech CS. Depend upon your interests. If you have interest in computer related things, and want to your career in it. Then surely choose BCA. If you like Science stuff things and want to make your career in teaching, research, government services, want to go in higher studies. Then you should choose B.Sc. Don't take BCA if-
1. You don't like to sit for long hours in front of computers.
2. Don't like programming and don't have much curiosity in computers. I.

Bachelor of Science is a 3-year full-time undergraduate course which is divided into 6 semesters. Candidates who have completed their Higher Secondary examinations (10+2) with minimum 50% marks from a recognized educational board with Science stream can opt for Bachelor of Science. The percentage may vary from state to state and from Institute of the institute.Some institutes also conduct entrance exams. Admission process for the course is based on three components. They are 10+2 marks, entrance exam marks, and performance in personal interview.Reputed institutes follow merit-based admission process. Admission is based on three components, i.e. class XII marks, entrance exam, and personal interview. The received applications are shortlisted and students who are eligible will be called for an entrance test and personal interview.
