It can't be equivalent to the completion of the course because the degree is given at the end of 3rd year. Completion of the course is must to get the degree of a particular course.

If you are from OBC or SC/ST, then I think you should immediately check cut off lists, but if you belong to general category, then you may not get admission, because cut offs for general are usually above 90.

UGC NET for Sciences and other subjects demands a Post-Graduation and an OG Diploma, which is not equivalent to Post Graduation / M.Tech or M.Sc. Degree is not accepted. You should pursue a PG Degree like M.Tech or M.Sc. And then apply for NET-UGC Test.
