Most colleges like Westford Institute of Film Technology and Birla Institute of Technology follow a three step system wherein the first step is screening of candidates application form. The second step is clearing the aptitude test and the third step is the interview. In other colleges like Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology, an admission is based completely on registering for the course and if the candidate is eligible, they pay the fees and begin with the classes. Selection Process:
*Selection to the course, in colleges taking an aptitude test is based on the performance in the creative aptitude test (50%) and score in 10+2 (50%).*In colleges which do not take creative aptitude test, the selection process is based on Class 10+2 scores and a personal interview by the colleges.

Well, B.Pharma is no better than. B.Sc. Moreover, B.Sc. is more difficult to pass than B.Pharma. We as B.Pharma graduates consider ourselves as simple graduates only, as if we go in marketing field, there are many B.A. B.Sc. Guys who are even at manager level and will treat you the same way as other Science and non-Science graduates. If you opt for pharma manufacturing, you can get reputation as D.Pharma are generally employed as operators for various machines involved in compression, coating, etc. They will give you respect and you will be called a Sir, which will make you feel good, but living in other state (Baddi, HP ; Sikkim, Mumbai etc. ). Where maximum industries are located, cannot be compromised merely with feelings as the salary offered to freshers is very less. Cipla in Baddi offers the maximum salary of about 10,000 PM to freshers, if you have patience and can bear these things, pharma manufacturing is definitely the field where you can do something related to your degree, as compared to pharma marketing. If you are planning to do B.Pharma. better give it a second thought as you can do graduation and prepare for government jobs along with B.Sc. But this can not be achieved in B.Pharma course as colleges are strict about attendance and all.

For getting admission in B.Sc.(Microbiology) you should have biology, chemistry and physics subjects in your 12th standard.
For getting admission in a reputed college, you should score greater than 75% in your 12th standard.
Your admission depends on the merit basisof the college.
If you are a student of science stream with biology as one of the subjects in your school curriculum and if you have more than 70 - 80% of aggregate in the PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in your schooling final, you are more eligible for the admission for the same. In the mean while, you should have the interest in the allied medical sciences and technological advancements by you can thrive well in this subject. Also finally, some degree of physical stamina, for the whole standing in the lab during the practical classes. There are thousands of private, government and deemed-universities offering the course.
