You cannot pursue BTech in CSE at IITs with PCB stream in Class 12 as the eligibility criteria mentioned by the Indian Institutes of Technology ask for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12. Mathematics is considered to be a crucial subject for the student to enter the field of Computer Engineering. Also, you must secure a minimum of 75% aggregate marks and clear the entrance exam with a really good rank to be able to get into any of the IIT branches.

Hey,

Maths is crucial subject when it came to pursuing B.Tech. Pursuing B.Tech without knowing fundamentals (taught in 11-12th standard) will be challenging.

And you may not eligible for entrance exam for BTech as it has criteria of minimum 40% in pcm in some state (like maharashtra).

But you can take admission through management quota. It may possible that some college provide you admission. You should contact or visit there.

For admission in B.Tech CSE through JEE Main, a student has to apply on the official portal for the exam and appear for both or one session. After getting the result, the All India Rank and the percentile will indicate whether the student is eligible for entrance to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

You can apply for JoSAA counseling, get registered, and fill your choices for the CSE program. It will allot a seat depending upon rank, category, and preference. Top colleges for the CSE offer good ranks.

Once allocated, verify your documents online or at the reporting center for admission.

No, although a significant amount of syllabus of B.Tech CSE contains Maths, majority of it does not consist of Maths. B.Tech CSE syllabus cover mathematical modules like algebra, calculus and statistics to form a foundation for other concepts in learning of the main course.
