From my experience, B.E. CSE at Chandigarh University is worth considering. The programme emphasizes both theory and practical skills, with well-equipped labs, coding workshops, and project-based learning.Students are encouraged to specialised in areas like AI, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing, which are highly valued in the industry.CU also connects students with internships and industrial projects, helping them gain hands-on experience before placements.The placement cell is proactive, organizing training, aptitude sessions, and mock interviews to prepare students for top companies like SAP and IBM. My advice is that if you are dedicated, practice regularly, and take part in coding competitions and projects, you can absolutely get placed in reputable companies. The scope is definitely there for hardworking students.

Honestly, I wouldn't keep Chandigarh University as just a "last option" If you get CSE at this university, it's actually a good opportunity. The faculty are supportive, labs are modern, and placement are decent- many students get into reputed companies through campus drives. Taking a drop sounds appealing if you're aiming for IITs or NITs but it comes with pressure and uncertainty.

The engineering dept gives you a platform to start immediately, explore coding, projects, and even prepare for higher studies or competitive exams side by side. I know seniors who joined CU thinking it was a backup, but later they realized it opened many doors for them. So, instead of wasting a year, you can make the most of Chandigarh University.

The placements are also very amazing because big MNCs like Google, Amazon, Accenture, IMB, Microsoft, etc. visit the campus to hire students and offer very high packages. Hostel life at the university is also one the best. Trust me, hostels at CU are made to feel like home, just with more study vibes. You get your own space with a bed, study desk, and storage, plus 24x7 security. Boys and girls have separate hostels and everything is well-managed.

The answer is very simple, it has always been worth it. As far as I know, the university offers unique programs that match new industry needs and future careers. The larger campus gives space for learning, activities, and a lively student life. For those who love sports, the stronger sports facilities make it easy to grow not just in studies but also in fitness and games.
The hostels are also built with care, giving a home-like comfort to students who stay away from their families. When it comes to careers, students have seen high salary packages from top companies during placements. At the same time, the university keeps its fees affordable, so that more students can get quality education without too much burden.
