From my experience, B.E. CSE at Chandigarh University is worth considering. The programme emphasizes both theory and practical skills, with well-equipped labs, coding workshops, and project-based learning.Students are encouraged to specialised in areas like AI, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing, which are highly valued in the industry.CU also connects students with internships and industrial projects, helping them gain hands-on experience before placements. The placement cell is proactive, organizing training, aptitude sessions, and mock interviews to prepare students for top companies like SAP and IBM. My advice is t

Honestly, I wouldn't keep Chandigarh University as just a "last option" If you get CSE at this university, it's actually a good opportunity. The faculty are supportive, labs are modern, and placement are decent- many students get into reputed companies through campus drives. Taking a drop sounds appealing if you're aiming for IITs or NITs but it comes with pressure and uncertainty.
The engineering dept gives you a platform to start immediately, explore coding, projects, and even prepare for higher studies or competitive exams side by side. I know seniors who joined CU thinking it was a backup, but later they realized it opened many door

The accurate placement packages offered to BTech CSE students at CUSAT are yet to be released. The university is soon going to release the placement statistics. However, CUSAT has released the sort of overview of placements, which indicates that the highest package secured by the graduates stood at around INR 25 LPA. One can expect a similar package for BTech students.

The answer is very simple, it has always been worth it. As far as I know, the university offers unique programs that match new industry needs and future careers. The larger campus gives space for learning, activities, and a lively student life. For those who love sports, the stronger sports facilities make it easy to grow not just in studies but also in fitness and games.
The hostels are also built with care, giving a home-like comfort to students who stay away from their families. When it comes to careers, students have seen high salary packages from top companies during placements. At the same time, the university keeps its fees affor

Whenever students think about engineering, they always ask about placements. Computer Science placements have been quite impressive in Chandigarh University. The recent drive included participation by over 240 multinational companies coming to the campus. Names like Microsoft, IBM, HP, SAP Labs, and Wipro, as well as Capgemini and Flipkart, were present. Out of these, more than 2000 students got placed from the CSE and IT branches. The highest package was 1.7 CR abroad while in India; that figure was 54.75 LPA. There was also a 60% rise in total offers compared to the year before. The growth in numbers shows that placements in co

Yes, yes Chandigarh University is good for CSE. Yes, why not there are a lot of opportunities for placements both nationally and internationally. Big MNCs like Google, Amazon, Accenture, IMB, Microsoft, etc. visit the campus to hire students and offer very high packages. The university also has a Department of Career Planning and Development (DCPD). This team helps students with resume-building, mock interviews and career counseling. They make sure students are fully ready for job interviews and can grab good opportunities.

It is hard to compare which has better placement stats, BTech CSE or BTech Mechanical Engineering, because DSMRU does not release the specialisation-wise placement data. According to the college's placement report, the highest package received via DSMNRU placements in 2025 was INR 12.16 LPA. However, INR 1.80 LPA is the lowest. During the 2025 DSMNRU placement season, 68 students from a variety of courses, including BTech, MBA, BCom, etc., were placed.
