The competition for getting into BTech in CSE is more than the BTech in ECE course. However, BTech in CSE does offer better placements. Candidates can do Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Engineering and Technology, B.Tech CSE or B.Tech ECE comparisons on the basis of factors such as course fees, faculty, infrastructure, student reviews and more.

Hi.
- LIT accepts JEE Main (or equivalent) plus state‑level counselling for regular admissions.
- But LIT also allows direct admission / management‑quota / merit‑quota seats — especially when seats remain vacant after regular counselling.
- For direct admission under this quota, often the basic requirement is having passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Math) as applicable, rather than a high JEE Main rank.
