CSE from BITS, Pilani is better as compared to NIT, Trichy.
Placements: Placements are 100% for the computer science branch. The highest package in India was 35 LPA and the lowest package for CS in India was 12 LPA. The average salary comes out to be around 22 LPA. This is very close to previous year's average too. Top shot companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Directi, Adobe, Samsung, HP, Visa, etc. to the newest startups like Nutanix, Crowdfire, etc. were among the recruiters. The roles offered mainly include software development and very rarely testing roles are given.
BITS, Pilani is an amazing place to complete your graduation. Your campus life will fill you up with memories that will last a lifetime.
Pros:

5. Infrastructure has improved a lot. By 2016-17, most hostels will be best in the country.
Cons:
1. Syllabus seems a little outdated.
2. Less research.
3. Not all faculty is supportive, though this maybe the case everywhere.
4. Weather is very tough to adjust too. Power cuts in summers add to your woes.
5. Administrative offices are pretty much like government offices. Work is slow and painful to get done though some officials are helpful.
6. Pretty far away from civilization. Nearest city is Delhi/Jaipur, both 200Km away. However, this is also a good thing, as you spend more time in the college, which somehow I believe helps in the long run.

Computer science and engineering is the branch of engineering which deals with technology related to computer, software, data engineering and other developments related to the system.
The branch will lead you to a career in the field of modern technology. The institute is renowned and has all the required infrastructure for the course and the basic modern labs for research, experienced faculty from the industry which makes a candidate industry ready. 5 separate labs running with Linux server & Windows servers. The various labs are Project Lab, Graphics Lab, Hardware Lab, Programming Lab, and the System Software Lab. It includes the following:
Computer Science and Engineering, which includes, Computer Networks, Wireless Network Security, Cryptography, Wireless Sensor Networks, Cloud Computing, and so on. In addition to that, the faculty is also actively involved in some of the joint research projects with industries. The students have outperformed in the campus placements for the reputed IT industries which include TCS, Wipro and Infosys to name a few. Post graduation students have acquired their internships and projects in companies such as Robert Bosch, Lucent, Unisys, Global Edge, TCS and so on. The department is actively involved in hosting many additional training programs for students in niche areas such as mobile programming, Qualnet, IBM Technologies, IBM Lotus and Domino and so on. The minimum package ranges from 4 lakh per annum to about 15 LPA.

You can apply and intern as many times as you want but the placement office and professors help you in finding an internship during 3rd year which is a mandatory one. Microsoft and Google have Student Partner and Student Embassador programs.
These are the companies that are on campus for CS:
Amazon, ADP, CA, Commvault, Capital IQ, Cisco, Dell, D.E. Shaw, Deloitte, GE, Honeywell, Oracle, Microsoft, Google, Syntel etc. Amazon, Google and D.E. Shaw hire 1 or 2 people. The other companies hire about 56. Almost everyone from my class ended up with multiple job offers. Average pay for Google, MS etc was in the range 10- 12 lpa. It was around 67 for the rest.
I still feel OU has a lot to catch up to reach NIT and IIT standards. Better faculty, students who are passionate to learn, diversity will make the college much better. This was all back in 2012. I'm not aware of the current scenario.

If you're asking about the placements for computer science at Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, you've made several right choices already. There are a lot of companies which come for computer science students since Bangalore itself has a lot of IT companies. There is a wide range of salary packages, here, on behalf of the companies that come. They range from 2.4 Lacs per annum (Accenture, IBM) to 21 Lacs per annum (Unitech Transfer). Last year, 85% students were placed. There is no end to the companies which come to the campus for recruitment, and they keep coming from the second week of August till the last week of November, and then from the first week of February till the last week of July. All of this can be attributed to the fact that our placement officer has been really helpful, and he keeps getting us a lot of companies each year.
As long as you maintain the equivalent of 60% and above, you'll definitely get a job without too much hassle, if you're a computer science student here. Do let us know if there's anything more you need. All the best!

First of all let me introduce you to the culture of both the colleges:
While satyabhama is relatively very strict, as they don't allow you for outings often! Cross gender interaction is not entertained and lesser semester breaks puts the nail to the coffin.
At srm you are free to live the way you wish to and also you are not restricted from outings.
Coming to the academics, you need to maintain a minimum of 75% attendence in both the colleges and failure in doing so would get you detained.
Cse at srm is accredited by ieee, ibm for different branches whiles it's not so for satyabhama.
The faculty to student ratio in srm is lot more than that of satyabhama.
Hostel facility is much better for srm as you have facility of ac /non ac /international hostel, whichever suits your pocket,which is not the case for satyabhama where you have to go with what the college allots you with.
Infrastructure:
Srn holds a 250 acre campus, well connected by wifi throughout offering 100 mbps as told.

Let us face the reality here, when you step in south there are only a handful good engineering colleges in south India, those being IIT MADRAS, TRICHY, ANNA University, VIT, SRM, and a few more. If you happen to land up in any other college then first of all you lack exposure as there colleges have students from all regions of India. Also, if you plan to go abroad for further qualifications these colleges happen to make your job a lot easier because of their collaborations with many international universities. Also, they have these rich programs like semester abroad program, twinning program, dual degree program, others that encourage students to draw more and more out of their 4 year stay in the campus. Also, owing up to the brand value of these colleges, a lot of core companies show up for placements recruiting thousands of students per day.
