Yes!, Thapar scholarship process is a little bit odd. There are 2 kinds of scholarships. One is mean based and other is merit based. In the merit-based, students are divided into 3 categories according to their board's marks,
1.95% and above
2. 90-95%
3. 85-90%
From every category, they list out students according to their JEE Mains score. Scholarships are different in each category and also a number of students are also different.

You will have 14 main subjects, they will given in IES syllabus.

You need to clear JEE advance to pursue B.Tech in German university.

Your college fees will be 1.59 lakhs per year and mess fees will be 80K/year.

To transfer your college you need to consult college (at which you want to seek admission) and ask them about the availability of seat in the preferred branch if they give green signal then you need to take out a NOC from your college ( Where you are studying right now) and then you can change your college. If your recent college does not provide you the NOC then you won't be able to do so.
