Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Students don't have to score good marks in entrance exams because Engineering Colleges Direct Admission is based on class 12th board marks. If you have 45-50% marks in the 12th Science subjects, you can take B.Tech direct admission in India. You cant get direct admission into government engineering colleges as the admissions in these colleges are based on the rules and regulations fixed by the state government. One has to appear for an entrance exam/ participate in the counselling process to get admission into a government engineering college. List of Top Engineering Colleges for Direct Admission:

It is based on your grade point average and admission exam results. It is completely open for you to choose any stream that interests you, given that you are intelligent and have a variety of options. For such gifted students, the job chances are the same (who get to choose disciplines rather than allotted)
If you are a student in a respectable institution and are above average, Mech/Elec/E&C/E&I/Chem are all good options. Given the current infrastructural binge in the nation, even peaceful discourse is preferable.

Yes, you have to pay the fees and report to college otherwise you will not be eligible for further rounds of counseling.

Hello Yogeshwar Shinde, after the end of second round of centralised admission process, the colleges have been asked to display vacancies on their website. Also in addition, the admissions henceforth will be college based and not centralised. Best wishes to you.
