NIT Srinagar offers BTech across several specialisations. The duration for BTech at NIT Srinagar is 4 years. The eligibility for BTech courses at NIT Srinagar is Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 75% in any stream from any recognised state or national board, along with a valid score in JEE Main.

The students who want admission into BTech course at UPES School of Advance Engineering must fuflil the minimum eligibility criteria. They must have atleast 50% marks in class 10th and 12th exams. Students must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their subjects. Either of the exams needs to be cleared; JEE Mains, UPESEAT, SAT, CUET-UG.

  • Class 12 with a minimum 60% in PCM subjects and 50% in English

Here's the current B.Tech admission criteria at Thapar University (TIET) — straight and short:


Eligibility

10+2 (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects. 
Appeared in JEE Main 2026 (or equivalent) — this is now the main mode for top engineering branches.

How Seats Are Filled

📌 50% seats based on JEE Main 2026 rank (All India merit).
📌 50% seats based on 12th PCM marks (board merit) for some branches — but many core branches now admit mainly through JEE Main

NIT Surathkal BTech admissions are offered on an entrance basis. The institute accepts only those who clear the admission criteria given below:

Eligibility - Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects + Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects/ Biology as one of the subjects + a minimum of 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates)

Candidates wanting to get a seat in BTech at JUIT Solan should meet its eligibility criteria. The students who are Class 12 pass with at least 60% aggregate in relevant subjects can apply. There is a relaxation of 5% in aggregate for SC/ ST category candidates. The students are advised to keep the documents handy as well during admission.
