To be eligible for Lateral Entry in second year of BTech at SGT University, candidates need to fulfill any one of the following conditions-
- Minimum 45% (40% for Reserved Category) in 2-3 year Diploma in any branch of Engineering and Technology.
- Minimum 45% (40% for Reserved Category) in BSc with Mathematics in Class 12.
- Passed B.Voc or 3-year D.Voc Stream in the same or allied sector.

Admission to B.Tech (LEET) programs at JC Bose University of Science and Technology is made through centralised counselling conducted by HSTES. For vacant/ seats, the University conducts institute-level counselling. Admission is granted strictly on the basis of rank in the OCET conducted by HSTES and marks in the qualifying exam.
