After the degree in Mechanical Engineering, learning into USE and get into jobs, this is what I would suggest in first place. If you are willing to pursue Higher Education and not job, then I would suggest doing M.Tech if you want to be a teacher of the subject. You can apply for MBA as well because many engineers make good managers after MBA.

Sorry, but for COEP, you need marks around 150+ for general category in MHTCET for getting a seat in COEP. Since there are lots of reservation quotas, rankings vary with single marks too. 150 will be the least marks for CSE and atleast 170+ are required.
Best of luck.

Hi there!
As you have got 50,282 rank in COMEDK, there are very less chances for you of getting CSE, IT & ECE branches in SDM College of Engineering & Technology. However, you can get core branches such as mechanical, civil, etc. but there aren't good placements in those branches. If you are having state quota, then there are chances of getting up to ECE.
Regards.

C.V Raman placement is slightly better than GITA. You can refer to MHRD NIRF rankings for that. Initially all the branches of engineering are allowed to sit for placement in core sector and that gives a different statistics in placement of mechanical engineering.
The core companies that visit campus often recruit less student and their salaries are attractive like Voltas 7 lpa, Tata Steel 8 lpa, Robert Bosch, Bosch Rexroth like that. But coming to the next side i.e it placement starts from 3 lpa by mass recruiters. On an average you can say placement of a core branch lies between 3 to 8 on an average
Best of luck.

Hi Abhishek,
Your rank is good you can get some of government colleges which are not so good because the best government college counselling goes up to 300 only last year. So fill the counselling form, may be this year you will get a good college.

Hello Amish,
I would strongly advise against of even thinking of doing engineering via distance, since it is illegal presently. Yes, you can think of lateral admission, if you can sustain yourself & family for three years on your savings, without any job.
