You should always start preparing as early as possible, at least 8 to 10 months before the final exam date, so that you have enough time for revision, with a majority of the syllabus covered by you. This increases your chances of getting good marks and being shortlisted for admission, as you can attempt a maximum number of questions in the exam.

You must remember that the competition is quite high at top-ranked colleges, including the IITs and NITs, so you need to give it your best shot and prepare really well to secure a seat.

You can check the basic list of documents needed at the time of the BTech Metallurgical Engg. admission process given below:
