With a JEE Main rank between 8 to 9 lakh, your chances for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through JoSAA/CSAB are extremely low, even with reserved categories. However, you can still get into decent private and state engineering colleges—especially if you make use of state counselling, private university entrance routes, and some lower-tier institutions.

You can get tier-3 colleges like IMSEC, GFTIs, private college and less known nits/iits. You can easily opt for homestate quota counselling for a admission in your preferred college in your state.

The closing rank for B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing at IIIT Ranchi was 41831 in 2025 in the last round of JEE Main exam. Making assumptions regarding cutoff trend for B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing at IIIT Ranchi is currently not possible due to a lack of data on previous year cutoff rank.

The last rank for B.Tech admission via JEE Main for other state SC category varies by college and branch. In NITs, SC students from other states usually get CSE up to 1.5–2 Lacs rank, and lower branches may go up to 5–6 lakh. Check JoSAA's previous year cutoff for exact data.

Students should see NIRF ranking or university site for ranking list. Always check these every year as ranking can change when college improves or slips back. Also read reviews from other students to know real side.

Ranking comes from many things like infrastructure, student-faculty ratio, lab facilities, research, scholarships and student feedback. If these are all good then ranking goes up . Students can check these points before picking Uka Tarsadia BTech seat.

Uka Tarsadia BTech ranking 2025 is mostly good as university got NAAC B+ grade. It means they doing decent job in academics, labs and overall campus. But students should check the latest NIRF or other rankings too for fresh information every year.

The college ranking plays a very important role for the BTech Chemical Engineering college selection. A solid ranking in charts speaks volumes about the college's academics, faculty, infrastructure, and networking opportunities. However, it should not be the sole deciding factor.

You should look for the course fees, practical lab work, industrial exposure, placement records, and alumni feedback to take the final call.
