- LIT accepts JEE Main (or equivalent) plus state‑level counselling for regular admissions.
- But LIT also allows direct admission / management‑quota / merit‑quota seats — especially when seats remain vacant after regular counselling.
- For direct admission under this quota, often the basic requirement is having passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Math) as applicable, rather than a high JEE Main rank.

If you belong to the General AI quota, yes 29000 in KCET is considered to be a good rank for BTech admission at CMR University. In 2025, the closing ranks ranged between 36709 and 55398 in General category, therefore candidates with a lower cutoff rank of 29000 are more likely to secure a seat at CMR University for BTech course. However, final admission also depends on minimum eligibility, seat availability in a particular round, etc.

Hi.
Yes, you can study BTech in Germany, but the degree is usually called “Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng)” or “Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)” in Engineering, not “BTech.”
The programs are equivalent to BTech and accepted worldwide.
For German-taught B.Eng/B.Sc
12th grade with strong marks in Maths + Physics + Chemistry
Proof of German language:
B1/B2 for Studienkolleg
C1 for direct admission
Pass Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) after Studienkolleg (Foundation course)
12th grade with good marks
English proficiency:
IELTS 6.0–6.5 or TOEFL 80–90
No German needed (but recommended for daily life).
