Yes, with this rank of 48,000, you can get a seat for mechanical engineering at SRM university (NCR campus). You can also get all the other top courses at the NCR campus with this rank. So, try it in the counselling.

Which university should I go between VIT, SRM and Delhi University for B.Tech?

Hello Sriman,
Obviously VIT University is better for b.tech than DTU and SRM University. VIT is known for its education and excellent placements.
If you don't get the VIT-Vellore and Chennai campuses then prefer SRM University's main campus. Even that's not possible, you go for DTU.

Hello Karan,
With this rank in VIT, you can get a seat only under category 5 means you need to pay more than 5 lakhs per annum. So if you want you may try in the counselling.
But in SRM, your rank is good enough to get a good course.
Since your chances are very low at VIT, you can opt for SRM Univers
