The admission at SSN is based on two ways.
1) Anna University Counselling (single window counselling)
2) Management quota (by applying separately for SSN)
The cut off marks and admission at SSN or any college under Anna University is based on your caste.
Your cut off marks are good but please tell me

The definition of better varies from person to person and is influenced by personal inclinations and one's strength.
It totally depends on you. From my point of view, I'll prefer B.Tech in civil engineering due to more job prospects in government sector. After doing your B.Tech from civil engineering

Hello Tarun,
It is quite not possible as in SRM main campus, the closing rank is 50000 but there is still a chance as you must go in counseling and also, you must try in any other campus.
All the best.
