To be eligible for Lateral Entry in second year of BTech at SGT University, candidates need to fulfill any one of the following conditions-
- Minimum 45% (40% for Reserved Category) in 2-3 year Diploma in any branch of Engineering and Technology.
- Minimum 45% (40% for Reserved Category) in BSc with Mathematics in Class 12.
- Passed B.Voc or 3-year D.Voc Stream in the same or allied sector.

To apply for BTech at CGC University, students must fulfil the eligibility. The eligibility is to pass Class 12 in PCM with 60% (55% for reserved categories) from a recognised board.

Absolutely yes. Every year, BTech graduates from Mysore colleges successfully clear GATE and secure admissions in top institutions like IITs, NITs, and VTU itself for M.Tech programmes.

Yes, lateral entry admission is available in most BTech colleges in Nagpur. Diploma holders in engineering who have completed a three-year Polytechnic programme are eligible for direct admission to the second year (third semester) of BTech through the lateral entry route. The admission is done through a separate lateral entry merit list based on the Diploma percentage.
