Plaksha University accepts multiple entrance exams such as JEE Main,  SAT India, and ACT, followed by an interview round for final selection. Candidates can opt any one of the exams for addmission to the BTech course. Admission decisions are of 4 types - Firm offer, conditional offer, deferral of decision and denial. Students who apply using only predicted scores may go through an extra stage of evaluation.

The total tuition fee for Bihar Animal Sciences University BTech programme is INR 20,000. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. The fee is quite affordable for students. Those pursuing BTech from BASU can also expect an average package of INR 3.9 lakh. Aspirants need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat at the time of admission.

There are a total of 40 seats in BTech programme of BASU Patna. The university fills 85% of the approved seats (i.e. State Quota Seats) from the candidates who are Bihar domicile through BCECE Board,  Patna. The remaining 15% seats are filled-in on All India Basis by the ICAR New Delhi. Candidates are offered seats based on JEE Main or BCECE scores.
