To get into JU for a BTech course, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university. Jigyasa University offers full-time BTech courses of four years' duration. Students can get into this course based merit. Apart from the selection criteria, students must pass Class 12.

The table below shows the general eligibility criteria for UG course in Marine Engineering colleges in India:

  • At the UG level, candidates must have successfully passed their senior secondary examination or its equivalent with at least 60 percent marks in Physics,  Chemistry, and Mathematics  (PCM).
  •  They should also have secured a minimum 50 percent marks in English either in Class X or Class XII. 
  • A minimum and a maximum age limit may or may not be a requirement by some Marine Engineering institutes.

IIITDM Kancheepuram accepts DASA UG score for the admission to BTech courses. IIITDM Kancheepuram current admission are scheduled to be announced in 2025. Meawhile, the IIITDM Kancheepuram cutoff 2023 was ranged from 412 to 954 for the General AI category candidates. As per the cutoff data, we can assume that for the upcoming session, the required rank will stand between a range of 300 to 900. And, for the BTech in CSE specifically, candidates have to acquire a rank nearly at 500.

A pass in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of  Chemistry/ Biotechnology /Biology /Computer Science /Computer Application/ Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category is required to apply for BTech course. Additionally, candidates must have passed Class 12 with English with at least 30% aggregate.
