Amity University starts its admission process with the release of the application form. Every year, the university releases the application form in November/ December. Hence candidates can apply for admission.

NTA is yet to announce the JEE Main application form date 2025 for admission to BTech courses at Amity University Kolkata, and other institutions. The application form is likely to release in the first week of November and will be available until December 2nd week. The exact JEE Main 2025 application form date will be available on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Yes, candidates passing Class 12 with at least 80% aggregate are eligible for direct admission to BTech course at Amity University Kolkata. Such candidates do not have appear for any entrance exam and can directly participate in document verification. Aspirants who are not eligible for direct admission have to pass CUET UG/ JEE Main/ Amity JEE. For BTech Biotechnology, candidates can apply with a NEET score also.

For admission to BTech courses at Amity University Kolkata, candidates are required to qualify for the general eligibility criteria first, which that states- candidates must complete their Class 12 with a minimum mark of 55% in the PCM/ PCB stream. Then, candidates are required to appear in any one of the entrance examinations from CUET/ JEE Mains/ Amity JEE. 

Note: Candidates with 80% and above aggregate in Class 12 (CBSE/ ISC/ State-Boards) are exempted from the selection process.

Yes, Amity University Kolkata offers a four-year BTech course, divided into four years. The university offers nine specialsiations in the course, the eligibility criteria for admission to BTech courses is candidates must qualify for their Class 12 with at least an aggregate of 55%. Additionally, the candidates must secure valid scores in CUET/ Amity JEE/ JEE Mains scores. According to the latest report, 32 recruiters participated in the placement process 2024 and offered more than 152 jobs offers to the Class of 2024. The highest and average package offered during KJSIT placements in 2024 stood at INR 17.50 LPA and INR 6 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters of KJ Somaiya Institute of Technology placements in 2024 included Cache Labs, IDFC First Bank, Seclore, nVent, Media.net, KMK Consulting, Deloitte, etc.

To get admission in B.Tech in an engineering college through lateral entry after doing a polytechnic diploma, you need to study the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Drawing. 

Apart from this, you must also meet the following educational qualifications: 

You must have completed a three-year engineering diploma. 

In most engineering colleges, the minimum marks required in any of the diploma courses is 60%. 

If you have done a diploma in engineering, you must have secured at least 50% marks in the diploma course. 

Lateral entry means that you will get direct admission in the second year of a course
