A high JEE Mains score can open doors to some of the top engineering colleges in India, there are still many reputable institutions where you can get an excellent B.Tech education even with a lower percentile in JEE.  Many colleges and universities conduct their own entrance exams for B.Tech admissions. These exams might have a different difficulty level or weightage compared to JEE Mains.

NIRF ranking of a college is an important parameter that a candidate can consider while comparing the colleges. NIRF Rankings 2024 are yet to be released. For BTech courses, SASTRA University and IIEST Shibpur were ranked by NIRF for three consecutive years. The rankings are tabulated below:

Starex University BTech course admission is as per the selection criteria of the university. For selection, aspirants should first check out the course-specific eligibility requirement, i.e., Class 12 pass with at least 45% aggregate. The eligible students can proceed with the application form filling. Shortlisted candidates are then called for the entrance test/interviews. On the basis of performance in the selection rounds, the seat allotment procedure is carried out.

A course-wise placements report has not been released by the authorities. In the 2023 placements as per an overall report, a total of 77 companies took part and selected 330 students. The highest package offered during the placements stood at 14.75 LPA. Some of the top companies that participated in the placements drive were IBM, Nagarro, Haldiram's, Amazon, etc.
