MLR Institute of Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering from recognised board. |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree (BA / B.Com/ B.Sc/ BBA / BBM / BCA / BE / B.Tech / B. Pharmacy / Any 3 or 4 year Degree except Oriental Languages). Examinations of minimum three years duration with the mentioned marks (45 % marks in BC Category ) in aggregate from a recognised Institute/ University. The qualifying degree obtained by the Distance Mode Program/ Open Distance Learning (ODL) should have recognition by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB as per UGC Regulations of 2013. Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis. The minimum age of the candidates should be 19 years as on the date of notification (Candidates whose date of Birth up to 30th MARCH, 2004). No maximum age limit. |
| M.E./M.Tech | Candidate must have completed B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in ECE / EEE / CSE / Electronics & Computers engineering / ETE/ IT/CSIT/ Electronics & Control Engg./Instrumentation Engg./ Instrumentation Technology / EIE /ICE/ Electronics Engg., /Bio- Medical Engg./ AMIETE and Electronics and Telematics Engg. / Electronics or equivalent from a UGC recognised University/ Institute. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates over TS PGECET qualified candidates. Candidate must have secured 50% marks in group subjects taken together in the qualifying examination (45% for reserved category). |

| M.Arch | Candidate must have completed Bachelor Degree in Architecture from All India Council for Technical Education or Council of Architecture or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least mentioned marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories / EWS /PWD belonging to Maharashtra State only. Candidates appearing for final year of qualifying examination are also eligible. |
