Banaras Hindu University has seat reservation of SC, ST, OBC, and other such category candidates. Additionally, seats are reserved for females, physically challenged, visually impaired, etc., candidates as well. Some key pointers related to BHU reservation policy are as follows:
- The university reserves 15% and 7.5% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, respectively for each course.
- 27% of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the OBC category (excluding under creamy layer); not applicable for all courses.

Banaras Hindu University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. The total seat intake for Banaras Hindu University BTech course is 60.
