At NMIMS you have the opportunity to choose your specialization (marketing, finance etc) after completing the first year. In the first year, you will have a good mix of subjects(marketing, finance, strategy, operations and so on). Thus I would suggest that once you are down in the field and experienced what it is like, you will be in a better position to take a call that which specialization interests you.

It looks like that you new in banking sector. For getting jobs in banks, common recruitment exams are conducted.
IBPS conducts the common written exams for nationalized banks, for the post of PO, Clerk & SO.
Rather than this, many banks conduct their own exam like Bank of Baroda . SBI conducts its own exam as well.
So you have to give & qualify it.

In this case go for private bank. After all they are also bank. But for PSB you have to go threw IBPS. Bank also hire MBA students from IIM, that process is also not easy. You know one thing- there is no alternative of success other then hard work. Some time short cut harms us. Don't mind my words.

Banking is one of the most exciting industry in current times. The way technology is changing the banking is also changing and for employees, its giving opportunities to learn a lot of things. Still in India, there is a huge untapped potential and RBI along with govt is working on Financial Inclusion. Payment banks and small banks licenses are expected soon which would open up a new era of niche banks. Growth in private sector and MNC bank depends more of performance of individual and that of bank as a whole, growth PSU is largely driven by seniority.

Better to go for coaching offering preparation for Bank PO exam. Exam pattern for both the exams are slightly different and level of questions are also different. If you want to join CAT coaching you can do that also, but it's better to give an attempt for CAT after CAT coaching.

You can either pursue MBA in Finance and then opt for banking sector, or you can prepare for exams like Bank PO.
