Both VIT BSc CS and VIT BCA are 3-year undergradute programmes offered by School of Computer Science & Engineering & Information Systems (SCORE). Minimum aggregate required to be eligible for either course is 70% in Class 12. No entrance test is required for both.

I completed my BCA with a Data Science specialisation at Asian School of Business, so sharing from actual experience.
A lot of colleges have started offering these specializations recently given the demand. My programme covered core CS fundamentals first year, then split into tracks, Data Science, Cybersecurity, AI were all options, I went with Data Science based on where the job market seemed headed.
What mattered most wasn't just having it on paper, but proper lab infrastructure and faculty with real industry experience, not just textbook teaching. Internship support helped too, got real project exposure before placements.
