Candidates who wish to pursue BCA course must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria. Pass in 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognised board of education. English as a subject of study. A minimum aggregate score of 45% at 10+2 level. Some colleges prefer students from Science stream or those who have studied Mathematics and Computer Science at 10+2 level. For sure, teaching is an evergreen field. As a BCA graduate, you can get a reference or through job portals look for a job in IT sector. You can get into training and development teams in corporate sector. They pay you very well as well as its a good start for a technical training career. That way you get to become a teacher and also apply all the technical knowledge you have. And in the process of training and teaching, unknowingly you will develop your trainer skills and soft skills too. Alongside, if you wish to do Soft Skills Certification from a reputed institute, then that opens doors for Soft skills training and personality development training field - as a freelancer or as a full timer with a company or an institute. Its an added advantage. However, if you wish to going back to traditional route, then B.Ed is a good start. Or doing a Masters such as MCA and then a teaching certification and you could apply for teacher/lecturer jobs appropriately. Also, carefully choose your audience level - corporate, University level and school level as it will determine the certification and courses you do. Wish you the very best.

B.Tech is a more comprehensive course and includes lot of subjects + lots of practical and has a subset from the BCA course syllabus too. BCA helps to build programming skills for developing software/website/cloud/mobile applications. English and Mathematics being compulsory subjects in previous study. BCA is for 3 years and B.Tech for 4 years. For both these courses, job opportunities are plenty in the IT sector. However, scope wise B.Tech graduates could have relatively more flexibility in the positions and also the pay. BCA is a great platform for higher studies such as MCA. But B.Tech can still act as a standalone course and support long term employment as you move up the ladder. Wish you all the very best. The broad objective of the MCA is to prepare graduate students for productive careers in software industry academia by providing an outstanding environment for teaching and research in the core and emerging areas of the discipline.
The programmes thrust is on giving the students a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application-oriented courses relevant to the latest computer software development. The programme emphasizes the application of software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications/networking and commercial problems.
~Eligibililty
Any Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 (three) year duration from a recognized university and mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 level or graduation level; else the student is required to pursue and pass the B.Sc concurrently with IGNOU MCA.
~DurationMinimum 3 years and Maximum 6 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions
~Fee Structure
Rs, 64,800/- for full programme to be paid
Rs. 10,800/- per semester. Non Maths students have to pay Rs.1,200/- additional in the first semester
~Programme Details
The programme has been divided into two semesters per year (January-June and July-December). Consequently, there will be two examinations every year one in the month of June for the January to June Semester courses and the other in December for the July to December semester courses. The students are at liberty to appear any of the examinations conducted by the university during the year subject to completing the minimum time frame and other formalities prescribed for the programme.
