10+2 examination with Mathematics. Minimum 45% marks(40% in case of SC/ST category).

Hi,
For getting into the BCA course offered by West Bengal colleges, the candidates must have completed their higher secondary from an institution recognised by the higher education board of the state of West Bengal. Yes, some universities provide BCA degree without mathematics in 10+2. But you must be eager to learn math, as BCA course is a Computer Science course and computers are all about math, so it includes math.

Yes, you can! A diploma is equivalent to +2, so you can apply for BCA in colleges which take lateral entries.

BCA is a Bachelor degree course in computer application. There are many career options after BCA if you are interested in computer programming, Networking, Data structure, etc. MCA or M.Sc.
